Fort Smith - The Park at West End

The Park at West End is a pocket park of concentrated vintage charm on the west end of historic Garrison Avenue in downtown Fort Smith, Arkansas. An iconic 56-foot Ferris wheel that was featured in the 1935 World's Fair offers an unparalleled view of downtown Fort Smith, the Fort Smith National Historic Site, and the Arkansas River. The park's carousel, built and hand-painted in Treviso, Italy brings old-fashioned joy to riders of all ages. A covered arcade provides wholesome entertainment for kids and teenagers.

Great little attraction but their hours are very confusing and a bit inconvenient. .. Neat splash pad a few feet away and then of course the beautiful AND historic Ferris wheel and carousel. Great little diner built in a railcar . arcade. Rides are only $1. WONDERFUL place for a casual first date or a cheap date night. have a nice dinner in a genuine railway car, ride the visually stunning historic rides, and then go for a romantic stroll down by the river at the amphitheatre just 50 yards away or sit next to/play in the splash pad and enjoy the artistic lighting built in.... It all has a very playful yet romantic feel to it at night. They also have very very reasonable rates for private parties . I have also brought my small dog here many times. The guys running the rides even held her so my husband and I could ride the Ferris wheel. Great employees . great little place.

A fun little park with some cute photo opportunities. The people there were super nice, and the Ferris wheel only cost us $1 each. We were glad we took the time to stop in during our visit. (Photos are views from the top of the Ferris wheel)

It's fun and there rides and cheap $1 per person and the train restaurant is good too I went there with my three kids and had 20 dollars to spend on food and the guy there split two orders of burgers that had everything on them with fries and a pop with free refillsand the guy had the cook split it up in the kitchen and it was really good
