About Us:

The Classical Edge Theatre Company is Northwest Arkansas' professional acting company dedicated to performing plays by William Shakespeare and other classical authors, as well as classically inspired new texts. The actors bring productions to life for community and school groups throughout the state. For schools, they can also include theater workshops for students and professional development sessions for teachers.

Classical Edge productions begin each year with free, outdoor performances in Northwest Arkansas locations, and then go on tour. In the summer of 2012, Classical Edge performed Shakespeare's Twelfth Night outdoors in Fayetteville and Rogers, and then toured to community groups in Searcy, Helena, and McCrory. In the summer and fall of 2013, the company performed Julius Caesar outdoors in Fayetteville and Bentonville, and then took it to Siloam Springs, Van Buren, Lincoln, Bentonville, and Fort Smith, where they involved students as actors in servant, messenger, and "mob" roles. In the summer of 2014, they performed Much Ado about Nothing in Bentonville, and then toured a workshop version involving students to high schools in Russellville, Elkins, Bentonville, Mount Ida, and Waldron. In 2015, Classical Edge performed A Midsummer Night's Dream outdoors to over 700 people on four nights in Bentonville, and then took touring production workshops to Russellville, Sonora, Bentonville, and Barton.
