About the Ranch:

Heifer  ranch is one of Heifer International's three learning centers, visitors can participate in educational programming that promotes sustainable solutions to global hunger, poverty and environmental degradation. The Ranch offers a variety of education programs from a couple of hours up to 5 nights long. The 1,200 acre working ranch and experiential learning center includes Global Villages, Challenge Course, Conference and Retreat Center with modern group lodging and dining facilities, Gift Shop, livestock and organic gardens. The Ranch is a place where families and individuals can drop-in for a tour and see many of the animals that Heifer International uses around the world, as well as see housing similar to those found in developing countries such as Guatemala, Zambia, and Thailand.

Heifer Ranch offers three modern lodges for groups (accommodating up to 78 people total), a dining hall with meals served cafeteria-style and two meeting rooms. Each can accommodate up to 50 and include dry erase board, flipcharts, television with DVD/VCR players, high-speed Internet and wireless access and audio-visual equipment (upon request). Guest business center includes computers and printer/copier. A large outdoor fire-pit offers a relaxed night-time gathering area. Package rates are available that include lodging, meals (breakfast, lunch, dinner and two snack services), meeting space and hayride tour of Ranch campus. Educational offerings such as Challenge Course activities are available for additional fees.

Each program introduces participants to the idea that one person can make a difference in ending hunger and poverty.Programs range from tours to multi-night programs that provide participants a first-hand look at the challenges surrounding hunger and poverty. Heifer Ranch programs are ideal for schools, congregations, youth organizations, families and individuals that want to learn more about the issues surrounding hunger and poverty, Heifer's sustainable solutions and what they can do to help.Experiential, hands-on, interactive and fun, Heifer Ranch is also a farm complete with gardens and animals including water buffalo, camels and traditional farm animals such as pigs, goats and more.
